Putting has always been a very personal part of any golfer’s game and Ping appears to have been very aware of this whilst calling on some solid engineering principles. The Heppler range is no different, offering a variety of interestingly designed (and named!) putters in blade, mid mallet and mallet. This is great for golfers as effectively putters can be chosen to fit a player’s arc as opposed to an individual having to get their stroke to suit a putter. Ping refers to these strokes as ‘Straight,’ ‘Slight Arc’ and ‘Strong Arc’ with the Ping website listing which head design suits which. Failing that, a JamGolf PGA professional will be happy to help.
Custom Fitting with Ping Heppler Putters
Having completed some custom fits for these putters, it’s great to see some of the features of the Heppler range in action. One of which is seeing the alignment of golfers improve, owing to the contrasting copper/black finish on the clubhead. What is also interesting about this range is that, as with many Ping putters in previous product ranges, the length of these putters can be adjusted which is a great way of finding the correct length for a golfer. A key point to note is that the head materials (steel and aluminium) contribute to a firmer feel which is something the golfer should bear in mind when considering these putters.
All in all, another fantastic Ping putter collection. I think the Tomcat 14 will be a very popular model that will transcend abilities. Please do get in touch with us here at JamGolf to help us choose yours.
