Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedge Review
Having used Vokeys for most of my playing career its difficult to understand how these wedges can get any better but one again Bob and his team have done it.
Historically, distance control has always been a bit difficult with custom wedges as players often have mismatched lofts, grinds etc so to address this Titleist (unless I can give Bob Vokey credit for everything ) have introduced a progressive centre of gravity to help players be more consistent in terms of distance control and shot dispersion. The finishes are great in terms of looks and reducing glare.
At the risk of sounding like a teacher, when it comes to choosing your wedges you really need to do your homework but i promise you that with these wedges it’s more than worth it for your golf game. There are a number of things to consider such as the lofts you really need, it's amazing how many times I do wedge gapping sessions on Trackman and the wedges do not fit well into players sets and the grind. Click here to see the available grinds and lofts. I suggest those interested have a think about how they play certain shots and choose the right match for them - any questions are always readily answered by our dedicated PGA professionals if it is a bit too much like a minefield!
