Firmer Feel, Pleasing Sound
A defining feature of the Heppler putters is the firmer feel and sound produced by the machined, flat face. This is a key difference between the Heppler range and its predecessor, Sigma 2 which was designed for golfers who prefer a putter on the softer side of the spectrum. If it's that distinctive click sound that you're looking for, the Heppler series is sure to please. Through rigorous testing and research, Ping found that players used the sound as feedback to inform their next putt and improve their game. The flat metal faces used in the Heppler line were developed to maximise this audio feedback and provide a distinct impact experience. Striking New Finish
The sleek, copper and black colourway of the Heppler clubface is complemented by an exclusive black chrome shaft, for an overall premium finish. Not only providing alignment cues and visual interest at address, the colour blocking also represents the use of different face materials; the black being a lightweight aluminium and the copper, steel.
Multi-Material Designs
The multi-material mallets and mid-mallets in this range are designed to give you more forgiveness and optimal centre of gravity. With this combination of pressure cast aluminium and steel, Ping have strategically engineered each model with exacting precision in terms of shape and weight placement. As a result, this family of putters is made up of high MOI designs, the Tomcat 14 boasting the highest, featuring a unique runway inspired, 14 dot alignment aid.
Adjustable-length Shaft Technology
Similarly to the Sigma 2 range, all of the Heppler putters come with adjustable-length shaft technology as standard. However, Ping have given the system an upgrade for the Heppler series, making it firmer and less flexible than the Sigma 2. The shaft can be customised between 32" and 36" with a simple to use tool that you insert into the top of the grip and twist to adjust. The updated adjustment technology allows players to fine-tune the shaft length by a quarter of an inch on every full turn of the mechanism, with small hash markings that act as a measurement guide on the shaft. This ingenious design gives players unmatched flexibility and gets them another step closer to lowering their score.
Four Grip Options
Taking customisation one step further, Ping offer four different grip options in this line. The PP59 is the standard grip modelled off the popular PP58. The PP60 is a lightweight, midsize grip, designed to fit the contours of the hands with flats on the top and sides. The PP62 is another lightweight variation and the larger, rounded shape helps to quieten your hands. The PP61 is the slightly heavier of the four with an exaggerated pistol shape.
