G400 SFT Fairway

The SFT variation of the G400 fairway is designed with a lighter swing weight and higher lofts to promote a straighter, more controllable flight. Coupled with a heel biased weight this straight flight option is ideal for golfers looking for higher launch and right to left shot bend (for right handed players). The Ping G400 fairway woods take inspiration from aerospace technology in the form of the maraging steel clubface. This material is one of the strongest alloys in existence which allows for an incredibly thin profile without losing strength or flexibility. In fact, the ne G400 clubface is 30% more flexible which makes it incredibly hot with very high launch capabilities. Weight is further reduced by the 17-4 SS crown that is cast to optimise the centre of gravity and includes a set of turbulators.

Back at the club face there is a textured finish that reduces spin to optimise launch conditions. In addition to the in built launch optimisations there is a higher density machined weight that can be adjusted. The total moment of impact is increased by the additional weight and the adjustability gives golfers the opportunity to fine tune the G400’s launch conditions quickly to suit their individual play style. The maximum amount of adjustment is +/- 1° which sounds minimal but the effect is tangible.
