Callaway Epic Forged Irons Review

What's New?

Following on from the success of the original Epic iron (2017-2018) the latest edition is a long forgiving iron featuring premium shafts and construction. One of the new features is the light Aerotech steelfiber shafts which whilst being steel, maintains a number of benefits normally associated with graphite shafts. This allows Callaway to reduce loft and have a slightly longer shaft than normal in steel thus increasing distance whilst retaining forgiveness. The graphite shaft as standard, the Tensei Black performs well also for those that need or prefer graphite. Side by side these irons are longer than the original Epic and, in my opinion anyway look a lot classier with the black/metallic finish as opposed to the original version. The ultra premium forging is also evident with them feeling great especially for what is ultimately a game improvement iron.

Is this for me?

If you’re a golfer that wants superior distance and technology without sacrificing too much feel then look no further. Given that these go so much further, speak to one of our PGA staff to discuss set make up including suitable long irons and hybrid clubs.
