When TaylorMade designed the SIM2 Ti they appeared to have done so with the aim of making a fairway metal that is not only great off the floor but also off the tee. The club follows on from the very successful SIM titanium fairway wood which made its way into the bags of a plethora of tour professionals and amateurs alike.
As with its predecessor, the SIM2 edition of the TaylorMade titanium fairway has many great features one of which is the tried and tested but further refined V steel technology, which reduces turf interaction and when combined with the ultra-low centre of gravity is a long fairway metal. As with many TaylorMade metals we also see Twist Face technology which helps square up ball flights resulting from common off-centre hits.
Who is the Sim 2 Titanium Fairway For?
Unlike the SIM2 Max, this model is adjustable at the hosel, which will offer real tangible benefits to golfers. The loft can be moved 2 degrees up and down as well as into an upright position should players look to promote a draw ball flight. I would recommend golfers who are less comfortable with the driver should look into the rocket model, which can go down to 12 degrees, and give themselves another option off the tee. There are also some great custom options which will help maximise spin and launch conditions.
