TaylorMade Milled Grind 2 Wedges Review

As well as the very distinguishable Hi Toe wedges, TaylorMade have designed and produced the second generation milled grind wedges. The main focus appears to have been on, lets face it the two things golfers really look for in a wedge, spin and feel. The way this has been achieved is through a patented face combination of laser etching and a raw finish. The raw finish is designed to rust which not only increases spin but allows the grooves to last longer which can only be a good thing. The variable face construction is also well suited for those players that want a solid feel. The Dynamic Golf shafts and Lamkin grips are the perfect complement to what is already a great wedge.

Will I see this on tour?
These wedges are already in the bags of the TaylorMade tour contingent including Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy. Oh and a certain Mr Woods.

Should this be in my bag?
These are great looking wedges and are more than tried and tested on tour. There’s also a bounce and loft option for everyone. The fact they come in two great finishes and have a space that is available for personalisation can only be a good thing!

Any insider tips?
When selecting wedges, as simple as it sounds, make sure you select wedges that really suit your needs. Check the loft of your pitching wedge to make sure your gap wedge is a low enough loft and that your wedges match the sand and ground conditions where you play most of your golf.
