One look at the Gunboat putter and it’s easy to see where the name comes from and why it is different to other mallet style putters. The sheer size of this beast increases the MOI to a new high which makes it incredibly stable and forgiving. In the same way a tightrope walker’s pole keeps them balanced by reducing small movements the Gunboat’s mass absorbs the tiny movement artifacts that may otherwise influence the shot. Available in both 370g and 400g head weights the latter is more suited for golfers that prefer a counterbalanced grip.
Behind the face is PXG’s celebrated TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) insert that fills the cavity and changes the way the club sounds and feels. The face insert is milled from a 304 stainless steel billet at an incredibly tight tolerance to produce a very regular and predictable contact with the ball. These elements combine to produce an eminently playable and accurate putter that feels unlike anything else on the market.
