Vokey Design SM8 Wedges - Tour Chrome
Spin Milled 8 wedges is the shift that will reshape your wedge game. SM8 features a centre of gravity that is pushed forward from the face, through the use of high density tungsten, producing a more consistent, pure strike that helps you hit your target more often.
Committed To The Craft
Bob Vokey knows that trust is earned, never given. He and his team grind every day to improve the feel and function of the tools they craft. With SM8, the standard for wedges is elevated, again.
Improved Progressive CG
SM8 takes the next innovative leap - pushing CG forward of the face. Maintaining the vertical, progressive centre of gravity, while improving the CG depth, allows for improved feel and stability, resulting in closer proximity to the hole.
A Grind For Every Game
The expansive mix of grinds and lofts available – including the new 54º and 56º D Grinds – offer the flexibility and versatility to cover any shot, from any lie, in any conditions. Meaning there is never a reason for a gap in your game.
Nothing Spins Like A Vokey
As each new Vokey line improves on the last, one thing remains the same: every Spin Milled groove on every wedge is inspected to ensure it delivers the quality and precision you expect. Design for maximum spin, now to even tighter tolerances.
F GrindAll Purpose Grind for Full Wedge Shots
The F grind is an all-purpose grind that is particularly suited for full shots and shots hit with a square face. Ideal for players who prefer a traditional wedge sole.
M GrindMulti-purpose grind for versatility
The M Grind, Voke’s favourite, is designed for players that like to rotate the club face open and closed to manufacture shots around the green. Ideal for players with a shallower, more sweeping swing type who play shots from a variety of clubface positions.
S GrindNarrow & Versatile
The S Grind features a full sole that has been narrowed by a trailing edge grind, giving it a faster feel through the turf. This grind is best for neutral to firm conditions and for players that like to control loft with their hands ahead or behind the ball.
D GrindThe Player's High Bounce Wedge
The D grind blends versatility from a heel, toe, and trailing edge grind and forgiveness with its high measured bounce. The D Grind is ideal for players with a steeper angle of attack who play shots from a variety of clubface positions.
L GrindPrecision for Skilled Shotmakers
The L Grind is the lowest bounce option in the mix. The heel, toe, and trailing edge relief allow for maximum greenside versatility. This club is perfect for firm conditions and designed for precise players. It is ideal for players that have complete control of impact looking for maximum shot-making versatility.
K GrindThe Ultimate Bunker Club
The K Grind is the highest bounce wedge in the lineup, and is the ultimate bunker club. The K Grind is a wide, full sole wedge with enhanced camber to make it forgiving from a variety of sand and turf conditions.
Titleist Vokey SM8 Wedges
Bob Vokey's SM8 Wedges
Finally they’re here! The highly anticipated addition to the Vokey wedge dynasty has been released. To be fair to Titleist’s marketers they haven’t claimed to have re-invented the wheel with the new SM8 range but they have no doubt made some valuable but subtle improvements.
What’s New with the SM8?
Titleist have created their most forgiving wedge yet by, with the use of high density tungsten, moving the centre of gravity forward thus increasing the MOI all whilst retaining a great feeling wedge.
On a cosmetic level, note the new design has plenty of room for personalisation also, meaning these wedges can be truly yours. What’s really great for golfers to note, however, is that the six grind options are available along with a plethora of loft options.
Who is the SM8 Wedge Aimed At?
Vokey wedges have always been attractive for a wide number of golfers and these changes have solidified this. The different sole and grind options for one make this wedge range accessible for all and the custom options available allow for the correct shaft, loft and lie options making the SM8 range playable for all.

Any Pro Tips?
Whilst the grind and bounce is important, remember that the loft of the wedge is also a vital consideration. The best way to get the lofts correct is to work out the average distance your pitching wedge is travelling and then find out where your gaps are. With the strength of loft on some modern pitching wedges, it could mean a stronger lofted ‘gap’ wedge than you’re used to.
