The Callaway Rogue products were launched to great reception in early 2018. The driver, fairway and iron models were gamed by a number of golfers on tour with Rogue irons also being a popular addition to many club golfers’ bags.
What Makes the 2020 Rogue Irons Great?
To build on this popularity Callaway have introduced the Rogue 2020 irons in both steel and graphite at a slightly lower price than other premium game improvement irons. What remains is the great technology to improve ball speed including the ever-present 360 FaceCup technology with Variable Face thickness as well as a truck load of tungsten to help with promoting the correct launch in each relevant club. The sound of the irons is improved greatly with the use of the urethane microspheres than dampen the vibrations at impact allowing golfers to benefit from the distance gains of a thin faced iron without the unwanted vibrations from off centre hits.
Who are these clubs aimed at?
The aforementioned technology gives a long, forgiving iron. The progressive offset is also likely to appeal to golfers who may historically have struggled with slicing the ball. However, the thinner top line may also appeal to more consistent golfers who are looking to increase distance.
I rarely mention price during these reviews but they are a great price for a great game improving product.
The tech has remained in this product since the launch of the Rogue irons in early 2018. The irons are fully custom fittable at a great price in both steel and graphite. Speak to one of our PGA professionals today for any advice you may need.
